Getting Back to DJing -- Need some Advice

Likwid 10:59 PM 22 October 2009
Long story short -- I DJ'ed for about 8 years and then took a break to do my MBA and sold most of my gear. I was listening to a mixtape today and realized I want to get back in again.

So... is there any new gear out? When I was still spinning, the 57 was the thing to have. Is there anything thats replaced it? I just saw that there's a SL3, but have no idea what that is.

I still got my TTX's and plan to use em as long as I can (can't go back to techs). I think I still got my needles and phones too. Just need to get a mixer again and some speakers.

Any advice is appreciated.

JBL Speakers all the way Likwid! Thats my advice! I have SL3 and I love it as well and would reccomend it to anyone!

The best mixers out there in my opinion are the TTM 57 SL and the DJM-800...Just depends on your needs and type of music, rest assured you wont go wrong with either though!
I own a 800 and am considering the 57SL just to simplify my video setup.

its still the ttm 57, djm 800, or A & H xone: obviously 57 is the only one with serato built in.

but keep in mind midi on scratch live has come a loooooong way, so dont have to have a 57 no more.

JBL eon g2s all the way, theyre not clean - but they bang, new eons are apparently cruddy.
