Alright so I was mixing at my club and all of a sudden the sound cut totally out and my graphics got incredibly choppy as if my CPU usage and ram usage was being used too much. I had to restart my comp. I had no other programs going on or anything of that nature. I couldn't load a song or play one when this happened. I have no idea what caused it. I use adaware and I have norton on my comp and I run them every time before a gig. It sucked when it occured. Nothing else was running so I am thinking it was some spyware or something. Please give me some suggestions.

Funning thing is that I have used the mp3s before. I also ran them through ashampoo.

ashampoo hasn't been a very reliable program for me, as it does not seem to catch all corruptions. Helium has an mpeg analyzer, and it seems to find corruptions that slip past ashampoo.

Make sure you have any/all Wi-Fi and/or Blue tooth auto detect options turned off.

Aaah Crap, its just for PC :P
Man, finding an MP3 analyzer for OSX Mac computers is no easy task.

To analyze a file, right click Tools->Analyze MPEG Files. Select multiple files to batch analyze. If Helium can repair the error, there is link near the bottom of the report that you can click to fix the error. But it won't fix "MPEG sync errors".
That particular type of error seems to be minor, though, as SSL has never had a problem with files with that error. Ashampoo does not report these errors. Who knows, maybe Helium is wrong about the error. Helium reports this error for every file I've ever downloaded from Beatport, though all of the rest of my files look ok.

I can't recall off the top of my head, and haven't come across a corrupt file in a while. But if memory serves me correctly, the most common error that I've found that it can fix had something to do with incorrect number of frames or something to that effect. I'm no mp3 format expert, though.

Yeah, missing frames, short frames, frames being too long. These are the most mp3 errors I have experienced.
