If you have the money the 56. IMO I think the sound is better and the overall feel is better. And it's a little more compact.

I'm new to the DJ scene and placed an order last week on the Urei 1601S; I'm receiving the mixer this afternoon.

Early this morning I found out that my brother in law ordered me a TTM 56 as a git (he didn't know I ordered a mixer already)... I've read tons about Rane mixers and wished I had a TTM 57, but considering the money factor, that's why I went for the Urei 1601s $300 price.

Now: I guess just I should just receive the Urei, not even open it and sell it? :)

Or you can keep both, never hurts to have an extra mixer.

it's not even a question, unless $$$ is an issue. if it's pure performance and durability, 56 destroys the 1601.

so return the 1601 and you got a new mixer for free, right? 56 is the shizzznit...

In addition that the !601s was (and maybe still is) on sale for walk in guitar center buyers for $299. If that sale end, you might feel like a fool paying full price for it...


and the 56 blows it ways!
