I'm relatively new to SSL (I just got it about 2 days ago), but I haven't stopped playing with it since (even tho only one Input works; see the 'Help' forums for details:P)
Although I am ultimately happy with the program on the whole, there are a few things I think might jazz up the product:
1. It has probably been suggested, but MIDI support would be nice (some DJs are also producers that use their decks as instruments). ReWire (
www.propellerheads.se) support would be kick-ass, too.
2. Multi-monitor support. Although most will use SSL on a laptop, I operate from home too in which I run software synths in sync with Serato for production. It would also be sweet to split the Control Pane and the Library Pane of SSL to two screens.
3. Alphabetized Crate list. Need I say more?
4. Mix Tape capture. It'd be nice if Serato could record your "set" as an mp3 format, considering all you're doing is playing Mp3s anyway.
5. 4-track SSL and a Sampler function.
If any of these suggestions are repeats, I apologize; I don't feel like reading through 300 pages of Feature Suggestions :P
