BUT.... I live in Japan and I can't speak Japanese very well, let alone read it. Can anyone help me by pointing me to a shop/organisation in the Kansai area (Osaka or Kyoto) who sells this mad things? I had a look on the international distributor list on the Rane site, but the one place here in Japan that sells Rane gear has no prices for any Rane gear, and no address, and doesn't appear to have the TTM57 SL on their product list...:(
thanks!..:)

Sign language and boiled rice to put it simply...lol !! Seriously, not many people speak english in Japan - especially where I'm stuck at. I live like "in the countryside" in a small town full of nanna's.. its sad I know, but we are close to Osaka and Kyoto scenes (about 1-2 hours by train). I can speak some Japanese, but not enough to have a conversation!
I have since emailed an outlet in Osaka, a link I got off the RANE website's International Resellers list. Although they don't list the TTM 57SL with the rest of their RANE products, I think they may be able to order it for me. Next stage will be trying to find the shop - no easy task when the darn map is in Kanji (Japanese characters/writing)...:( Its all about adventure! Instead of rocking on down to the local music store and placing an order, it gets turned into this whole mission where the reward is a TTM 57SL!

The reward is worth it. Plus, the adventure itself (on a mission in Japan!) would be a total great time.

I'm Japanese and well, I'm surprised you're alive.
You're going to have to visit Tokyo, a couple hours away. The part of Tokyo you want to go is Akihabara. (electronic city) Once you get out of the train station, finding an audio store isn't very hard. If they sell headphones or anything like that, ask about Vestax or Denon (domestic Japanese companies). They'll probably lead you to a mixer shop or something like it. Then ask about Rane.
akihabara no densha wah doko des ka? = where is the train to Akihabara?
Rane TTM57SL ari mas ka? = do you have the Rane ttm57sl?

I just got lucky and strolled (accidentally) into my first DJ Shop in Japan... Looked in the glass cabinet and bingo: there was an SSL unit for sale. So upon further investigation, the guy behind the counter said he could order it in fer me! WOO!! located in Shinsaibashi, Osaka.
