I was wondering what programs would be a good cost efficient way to start creating my own music. Alot of Dj's I've talked to recently have said wait until I've been spinning quite awhile. However, I look at it this way, why not start getting a feeling for it while I'm working on mixing, playing the crowd - etc. Besides I hate being told "No, its beyond your grasp"
I know a program like ProTools would be the way to go and start learning from scratch... but I dont need something that overkill at the moment - besides I've heard you need to drop a pretty penny to get your equipment to spec. Its not like im looking to market my music.... yet
Any advice would be appreciated
