1. Auto Sync a la Traktor Style
Yep, that's right... I want the option of being able to use auto sync/beatmatch. Shout me down about not being able to DJ and mix and whatever else but after several years of vinyl i want to be able to take my laptop and scratch interface and just play internally with beats automatically sync'd so i can concentrate more on using loops, external fx etc. Some would suggest Ableton Live... Fair call, but i love Serato and want to keep using it's lovely, minimal and performance friendly interface.

2. ASIO Drivers for the scratch interface
This would be a fantastic addition for Serato. I know it's been brought up elsewhere (i'm not sure what the final answer from Serato was) but i think making the interface cross-program friendly would only help Serato and Scratch Live.

3. Musical Key ID3 Tag
Not all of us play the same genres or play the same way. Some don't care about key, some use their ears, some key their tunes manually and add it to the comments section. Personally i key my records and would love the ID3 tag options that's present for musical key to show up in SSL.

Features i think Serato doesn't need -

Software Mixer a la Traktor
I think SSL functions best with an external mixer and was certainly designed this way. Why implement and complicate a really straight-forward, user friendly system?

Plugins / built in FX
Same reasoning as above... Why complicate the system any more and make it require more robust computers to run it? I say use external FX, but that's just me. A more viable solution for some might be to use Ableton if they need wads of FX.

Video support
Seems to be against what serato is about... a musical DJ system designed for ease of use, portability and good on system resources.

Look forward to hearing some other views! :)

i agree about ssl NOT needing an internal x-fader and internal eq/fx.

some effect features such as reverb, echo, delay etc...

another one is being able to quickly listen to an mp3 file. I have so much mp3's in serrato and it's hard to remember which songs are which, without having to load and listen.

yeah an audition mode might be good - it could automatically play through the unused channel.

I've converted over to the Grouping tag which seems to make more sense and it's also supported right now in iTunes. That still leaves the comments tag open.
