Mapping Keys / MIDI to change effects....

Can anyone tell me if its possible to switch effects without using a mouse / touchpad?
Would be great if keys / midi could be assigned but I see when in mapping mode that the options aren't there.
Does anyone know another way other than mouse / touchpad?
Thanks

you cant run the ttm 57 with an external midi controller, which - i know, sucks ass; seeing how the effects group on the 57 is awfully un-ergonomic.

I have my video effects mapped to the knobs and pads on a M-audio trigger. Works great and is cheap.

I have a related question:
Is there a way to map the control buttons on the 57SL to actions in Scratch Live?
Specifically, I thought I would be able to play samples from the SP-6 via the B1,B2,B3,B4,B5,B6 buttons - that just seems straight forward and intuitive. But from what I can tell, NONE of the SP-6 controls have been mapped to the 57SL?
Can anybody confirm this or advise how to map accordingly? Much appreciated.
thnx,
