Feature request for the next 57, 58??
Make the "B" buttons just a tad bigger and further spaced apart and also add a back light or something so that I could see them in the dark. Thanks.

A touch screen like the djm 909 would be sick to control the effects.. or for the hardware panel entirely. it's a little hard to utilize the awesome effects of the mixer unless you're using the software.... some of us do still rock vinyl/cd sets and would love to use all the effects with ease.

I agree, even if your not rockin just vinyl, the hardware screen takes up waaaay too much space to have it open during your whole set. While were at it, might as well add a computer into the mixer lol
Just bring a jump drive and get to work!

one of the things i like about the 57 is the size... it's a very feature packed 10" mixer. pads on this thing would make it huge.

Thanks.im fine with placement and size... but back lighting would be awesome. when i walk into the studio with the lights off, the 57 is like a mugger in a dark alley. you can't tell he's there till it's too late.

Same here. +1 for some sort of light..... I use this little book light that I latch on the side of my laptop stand to shed some light on my 57 so I can see what I'm doing. Maybe you can come up with some kind of light accessories that we can easily attached to our 57 instead of having to purchase a new one

Yeah I have a USB light that bends but that takes up one of my free USB's and it's just not the greatest solution like having actual backlights on the buttons.

And having the buttons just a tad bit bigger and further spaced should eliminate pressing the wrong one.

Of course doing all that and keeping the mixer the same size prob isn't the easiest feat.

make the pads 1/4 the size mpc pads and backlite them. And/or make the mixer a 12in... with the B buttons with more "feel" to them DJ's would want to remix on the fly more, those B buttons suck in dark areas; there small and you cant see them

What I'd like to see here more than anything else is simply a dedicated BPM tap button rather than using the P1 which is a little awkward to strike at times and will make the P1 wear out a lot faster. Make it a little recessed, it doesn’t have to be huge, maybe 1.5 -2cm across.
Screen would be nice, however will cause a cost blowout on what is already one of the world’s most expensive 2 channel mixers. If the buttons go backlit, just don’t make them with blue LEDs. Blue LED’s are far too bright, oranges, reds and greens would do just fine.

I agree that lights would be great on the buttons. I`ve noticed that when I dj in the dark it can be difficult locating them so therefore I have to do it the ghettoway by using my cell phone light if I need to turn on a effect lol

latin, look into getting one of those usb snake lights. They bend however you want and do the trick. That's my fix for now. I got mine off www.thinkgeek..com

I do have to agree, that backlighting on the mixer would be great! As for the size, I LOVE it being a 10" Mixer. I would hate to see it go up to a 12".
