im runing version 1.6.1, pc laptop, lenovo s-180 model. 1.5 processor.512 ram. windows xp pro. sp1. and its been great, until today when i added some new tracks. now its crashing after about 5 mins every time.
this hasnt happened before with any version for me.
i have a gig tomorrow night. need to sort this out.
can somebody please help?

im rebuilding all my overviews now so hopefully that might help

If you know what tracks are the new ones, you might just want to build overviews for those tracks.
Definately sounds like a corrupt file issue though.

just rebuilt all my over views. used it for about 10 mins before it crashed again. it seemed to go through all the overview building ok. and its been crashing on different tracks.
there is no way im going back to 1.5 or 1.4 as they were all troublesome for me!
i encoded the recently added mp3's on a different computer to the one im using for serato and transfered them via my external, allthough im not using the external with serato. would this make a difference?

im not too hot on how to cure these things, is there any info from my laptop i can send you that would help identify the problem? and if so, where do i find it?

right, tried rebuilding again for just the files that were recently added. i found two corrupt tracks,and deleted them. even though i haven't played it in serato yet, could it just being there, cause the program to crash?

How does it crash? Does XP just reboot? Do you get an error message? Anything?

i dont get any message. the program just freezes and the music stops! i have to pull up task manager to get out of it and end the process that way

Have you tried deleting the files you had recently added?
It seems like if you didn't have any problems before you added those tracks, that the tracks would be the problem.
