I would like to see the ability to categorize my song views by Genre. If I want to look at electronic or house or hip hop, rock or whatever I can just look at those. I hope I am not making a fool out of myself and this is already a feature..... LOL.
Thanks, wayne

Yep, we need that. There's a lot of music on here now, and it can be hard to find what you're after.

Signing legal contracts with labels to get rights to distribute their promotional music. Not many sites do this, and it takes a while.
Be patient, we're working hard on getting more content :)

@Dave
After the fact is always too late, searching per genre (categories) should have been there from the start. ever since whitelabel opened its doors we all screamed for it and still we are talking to deafmans ears.
@ Brigid
We (at least most of us) understand the legal aspect of the distribution channels and that it won't always be that easy.
there is a BIG BUT here tho.
Ever since whitelabel launched people have been screaming and crying kicking and whining to please please please insert the functionality to search for music by GENRE, but after all this time whitelabel continues to ignore which i think for most is (and for record labels aswell) an essential part of picking out music. all whitelabel.net is and still will be is a virtual big pile of unorganized music, its all mashed up blended together, we want structure and a simple clean cut system instead of looking for houurs sifting through this big pile of promos where 9/10 isnt even what you are looking for atm but you dont have a choice but to keep going through it all because whitelabel (i cant express this to much) failed to implement one of the most important things... categorization.
regards,

Sorry for the double post but forgot one thing:
What do you think a recordlabel prefers, a diffrent site/distribution channel where there music can be found easy and in the right section, or put their music on a big pile. Im not saying they wont put it on whitelabel but it certaintly makes whitelabel run behind the rest and be the small infant amongst the distribution channels

Hi Crysis,
Thanks for your feedback. We are close to releasing a new version of Whitelabel which has the ability to browse by genre. Yes, it would have been great to have that from the start, however there are always choices to make and at the start there wasn't a lot of music on Whitelabel so browsing by genre wasn't nearly as necessary as it is now.

Hi Dave,
I agree (comming from that line of work myself) that those things always are weighed and choices being made. All i can say is that alot of people will be looking forward to that release ;) keep it up.
