Hello DjReact,

No, you should be fine using both applications on your computer.

just so you feel a little safer: i used a g4 12" ibook (older model - maybe 1.5 years old), with only 256mb ram, with these and a whole lot more programs, with less than a gig left on the hd, with absolutely no problems whatsoever.

i have a powerbook with adobe cs2, microsoft office, ssl, and other programs and not a problem at all. just be careful running ssl and other cpu intensice applications like photoshop or illustrator while using ssl (especially since cs2 would run under rosetta emulation i believe).

I've only found problem with SL when I put programs on it that make a folder in the same area as SL.

For instance on Mac, I add a program called wiretap. It lets you record from a mic or internally. It added a folder in the My Music folder where SL is. It acted stupid until I took it off. Now it runs smoothly.

Just for your info.

dj eldog,

Please post your issue in a separate thread so we can keep each topic on the subject at hand. Thanks.

I used to have photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver.... etc... now, I'm investing in a new computer with only Serato on it. My last computer had 1 gig of free space on it and after a long recording it crashed and never turned on again. Wating to get a new hard drive now. The Mac people told me that you are supposed to leave 10% of your memory free, so if you have a 80 gig hard drive... I didn't know that 8gigs needed to be free! Play it safe and back your stuff up.
