i tried converting id tags to none but it still happens with some tracks..

also when i drag a track from i tunes to the desktop or toast it doesnt keep the name i gave it it has the original name ,is there a way i can change the names to the name i want it to be for good wiithout using the convert track to aif or mp3 ?

Try converting your tag to 'none', then apply your changes and convert it to 2.3.

Use the get info tab in iTunes to add all the permanent information.

ive tried converting them to none
then to all of the different versions 2.3 etc
but every time i play them in i tunes the name goes back to the old name.
its only a few tracks but i can;t figuire it out
ive checked other people seem to be having this problem
but i didnt see a solution that worked
except for converting them again but then youll lose some quality.

Open up SSL, highlight one of the songs and hold down ctrl + R.
This will bring up a window that is the location of the song. Highlight that song and right click.
Click on properties.
Check to see if the track is 'read only'.
If so, change that to 'read and write'.
Once that option is changed you will be able to re-write the track information.

the changes I have made to songs in itunes doesn't carry over in SSL. SSL shows the song the name and title before the changes made. Please shed some light on the subject.

i did tthat still didn't take effect, please walk me through any steps that I might not have taken. When I started out with SSL all my songs were on my external HD, then I loaded them on my mac in itunes, made all the necessary corrections, such as, capitalized all songs, artist, genre, etc. then when I click on SSL whatever is in my itunes library came in, but somehow all the changes i made in itunes did not take in effect. I have been correcting and loading new songs in my itunes library every now and then and somehow some of the changes are not taking effect. Please help me, maybe is something simple i am not doing. thanks
