*sigh* love it. amazing system.

Just got mine in the mail today....and wow...i have never used a rane mixer before i just went out and bought it cause everyone always gloats about their "magnetic faders". And holy good god they are amazing.

love the setup of this mixer. Glad to be a new owner and member to this community! BRING ON THE NEW EFFECTS PLUGINS!

I just got mine today, and have not yet purchased a laptop. I'm a PC guy, but I've decided to go with the MacBook for my first laptop. Like many other users on this forum, I'll dedicate the laptop to serato. Like my man DJ C4, I've never used SSL before so I'm really excited about this.

My only other decision now is using turntables or CDJ's to control it.
DJ_X_Trodinaire 5:05 PM - 25 July, 2006
congrats to you too!

you will definately love SSL
Dj C4 1:42 AM - 27 July, 2006

Screw you guys. Every last dirty one of you. And twice on Tuesdays. I hate you. All you get is two snaps up and the finger.

Seriously, I want mine now (part of agipro's next shipment). Chop chop Rane guys, let's get those units out the door. :)
type1 11:47 AM - 31 July, 2006

I got mine a couple weeks ago, and did my first gig with it this past weekend. Everything went well, but I feel like I need a lot more practice before getting very adventuresome with some of the features and effects.
hologram 5:47 AM - 9 August, 2006
I still haven't used the effects at a gig but I have gotten very comfortable with the default custom group on the mixer to control the App and looping.
skinnyguy 9:30 PM - 9 August, 2006
hah! i'm the opposite of hologram! i mostly use the fx (echo, mostly) and i'm just starting to get comfortable with the custom group and relative mode.
BattleFunk 11:36 AM - 10 August, 2006

Petey Pete 9:25 AM - 12 August, 2006
Just got mine last Sunday. Only had a chance to play with it now because I've been so busy at work! I'm getting used to the interface after many years(bad) with Finalscratch.....LOL!
DJ LTIZZZLE 5:34 PM - 21 August, 2006
Just copped mine the other day. I was using he DJM 400 to start, but i can't wait to get back to Iraq to get back to work on it. I do have a question. Do you all think the CDJ are better to mix and scatch with instead of the Turntables?

To me, turntables are the ultimate dj weapons.
If you are indeed face with that choice....Turntables all the way baby!!!....
Any average joe can press buttons on CDJS, Turntables however, are a different kettle of fish....Turntable djs rule!!!! Let the hating begin
Thundercat 1:41 AM - 22 August, 2006
TTM57 + Turntables + Relative Mode = as good as it gets.
Dj C4 9:34 AM - 22 August, 2006
TTM 57 is hands down better then a CDJ.

its debatble if you just have the SL Box...i find it annoying leaning over to change crap on my laptop or a extra control. the TTM 57 has it all right there at your hands. so and that FADER! SO FRESH AND SO CLEAN CLEAN

Turntables or the Way...to Nirvanna
BIG C 1:20 PM - 4 October, 2006
I was using mine for the 2 months or so with a pair of CDJ's, but must admit after finally hooking up my turntables, I won't be going back to the CDJ's.
cMo 4:54 AM - 5 October, 2006
I haven't been able to sleep for a week! I have been SO distracted at work, every day, reading every post on this board!! I've been using the ssl box with my djm300 & cdj-200's, but I've been getting sick of it lately because you can't scratch and I've been dying for the 57.

I could not wait a minute longer, and Guitar Center finally had a one on hand! They haven't had any of the 57's in stock since they came out (here in Houston). I guess they just fly off the shelves, one of the employees told me they are on back order.

I just got the 57 and some Technic sl-dz1200's!!! I will use the tech-12-turntables on Friday nights at Zimm's, but on Saturdays at Bice I'm going to use the cd decks.

This will be a perfect way for me to really see what I prefer - vinyl turntables or cd turntables - one on Friday and the other on Saturday...
