Hey All,
Quick question. Very new to serato so forgive me if this in a newbie question. I've looked for everything about overviews but couldn't find my answer
My question is about adding new mp3's and using the build overview btn. I've built overviews for all my current mp3's on my HD but when I ad new files and hit the build btn will it just build overviews for the new files or will it go through my entire library and re-build them all.
If it does go through my entire library again is there a way around this?
Thanks in advance

i think it does go through the entire catalogue again. which is a pain in the butt. a way round this would be to build overviews on the new mp3s seperately. ie: put them in a new folder then build overviews for the ones in it.

Not true, SSL will only build overviews for tracks that it has not built overviews for

and if I'm not mistaken build overviews for your mp3's only after you have them in the folder that it will permanently stay in, the overview information will be stored in a hidden folder specific to the drive the mp3 is in. If the location of the mp3 changes you will loose your overview information because serato cannot find the file associated with the overview

i have the same problem. Whenever I build overviews for new songs added to my library, it does it for the entire library all over again?
Also, the little broken circle next to some of the files...I'm assuming that means the file is corrupted? They still play fine when I load them though. Should I still delete them?

Only build overviews for the new songs by dragging and dropping just those songs on the overview builder.
Yes. These are corrupt files and can cause issues with SSL.
They will play 9 times out of 10 but I wouldn't take the chance.
If its a song you can't live without just re-encode it.
