Is kinda inconvenient (IMHO) when im searching the forum and everytime i finish reading a thread when i go back it takes me back to Page 1.....
here is an example
Browsing the forum (Dj'ing Discussion)...start on page1 and let's say i find an interesting thread on page3...i go in and read it (comment if necessary) and then i want to go back out to keep looking for threads but STARTING on page3 again (i dont wanna have to go back out to page1 and start all over again)...i was able to do this on the old scratchlive.net forum btw
hope it makes sense

Other people have pointed out this same thing and whilst I understand what you're saying there's an obvious problem with it: forum threads are ordered by how recently comments have been made in them.
So the threads listed on page 3 (for example) can change quite quickly if people are posting new messages. It would confusing to return to a list page only to find a different bunch of threads listed.
For me the obvious solution is to open each thread in a new tab of my browser and leave the thread list open on whatever page I happen to be on.

Hmmm, fair call :-)
In that case I'll put those links in the new forum code.
