I just bought a macbook pro, after using a pc for the last year with serato. I have not installed all my music files into it yet, but the rumour from some of the dj's here in Vegas is that 1.5 shuts down if you try to play those mp3's with missing info. I thought 1.5 was suppossed to be the cure all for all these problems. Does anyone know about this?

i have a new macbook not the pro. dont install 1.5.i did when i first got the macbook.serato crashes very easy due to bad files and using fat32 external harddrive.I installed the beta version 1.6.1(16105).IT crashed at first but you need to rebuild your overviews on your entire library and scan id tags.IT will take awhile.remove all bad files you have or re-encode them.I built overviews and i havent had a problem since.Im also using a fat32 external harddrive.dj casper las vegas

Thanks Casper, I just updated to 1.6.1 everything seems to be good. Only problem I've had recently is when I unplug and plug back in usb cable it stalls the system and I usually have to reboot.Other than that it's been great and even the 3-4 so called corrupt itunes files I have once they have been built they play fine to.
