Hi,
Not familiar with this, but I'm just wondering what I would need to connect projector to my Rane mixer. Need to play a video/movie for a wedding.
Laptop connects to projector => video will be shown.
Laptop also connected to ttm57sl...
What about the sound.
Please let me know what I need.
Much appreciated.
Tried a search, nothing came up.

If you are playing a video file on VSL then the sound will come out of your 57SL.
If you are not using VSL then you will need to use your laptops audio output to connect to your 57SL's input. Most likely your laptop will have a mini 1/8" stereo output and you can connect to any RCA input on your 57SL. If this is the case then all you will only need an simple audio adaptor, RCA's one side and 1/8" stereo mini plug on the other side.

Thanks a lot for your help.
I'm not using VSL, yet.
I think I get the picture.
Something like this?
www.frontx.com
So for the apple macbook So stick the 1/8" into the Audioline in(optical digital audio in port) (NOT the head phone one)
But on my toshiba laptop. i have a mic and a headphone slot...guess i'll use the mic.
And lastly, the rca is conneced to to either 2 (pgm1) or 4(pgm2) , correct?
And i just switch the knob to either ...
Thanks a lot! I ain't good with all these connections. but learning!

NO & NO TO BOTH.......
Audio originates from your MacBook or Toshiba so it has to travel OUT not IN. You must connect to the LINE OUT or MIC OUT and into any INPUT (or pgm) on you 57SL. That cable on the website should be the correct one assuming that the outputs on your computers are both 1/8" mini stereo.

Ok. thanks.
the apple macbook has a 'headphone out/optical digital audio outport;
And the toshiba. headphone jack ifor audio output as well.
so from what you taught me, sound originates from the laptop. and sound is travelling out to headphones...
Thanks a lot!
I appreciate it!

There is a demo version of Video-SL. You will be able to utilize program but your stuck with a big 'DEMO' and VSL logo sign on your main display. But yeah, scratch up a couple hundred for VSL. I suggest the boxed version rather than the download version, you get two templates for your 57 plus stickers.
