Did you upgrade Mac OS X to 10.5.7? If so, there's your problem. Something got messed up in the update from Apple. Going back to 10.5.6 should solve this.

Have you tried the 1.9.1 beta? Not absolute if that solves it but its a shot. I'm not really sure if it is the MAC software, the denon firmwear or the Scratch Live software that can resolve this issue.

I just checked with denon and they are considering it a MAC problem. Hearing that I don't think the beta will solve it.

Any idea if Rane is working with Apple to correct this issue?

It's not something within our control, nor denons for that matter. It is on the MAC side.

You can always revert to 10.5.6

I've once again updated my imac to the latest release of mac operating system and my denon DN - H 4500 controller once again is not displaying track info, loops, and hot cues. It's however still working. Any ideas, or is it that this controller has a limit as far as a certain operating system?
Anyone having this problem with this device?

I'm running 10.5.8 on my mac and DN - H 4500 is not displaying track info, hot cues loops etc..

Are you using the latest denon firmwear?
DJNelson88 1:50 AM - 15 October, 2009
Yes, I upgraded to the latest Denon firmware a little while back when it came out and that fixed the issue. Thanks.

Same answer as before. It is an issue with the MAC OS. I haven't heard any reports about snow leopard yet.

You can always revert to 10.5.6.

I need so help regarding installing the newer firmware for my denon hc 4500 because I've checked it out and its old, and most likely the reason why it acts up when I upgrade my computer, please help.

Have you contacted denon? I bet they know how to do it better than I. Below is a link to the update thread on their forum.

I reverted my computer to 10.5.6, however I want to know if the problem has been solved in 10.5.8? Or any idea if upgrading to snow leopard will solve this problem? Thanks for your advise!

I don't recall hearing many complaints about that unit with Snow Leopard yet.

I've Just completed the update on my dn-hc 4500 to the sys 1006 (current version) firmware update, do you think is now safe to upgrade past 10.5.6 for my track info to display on my dn-hc 4500 while using it on serato? I don't know if anyone has complaints about this device while using it with serato running any version of Mac OS X 10.5.7 or higher? Any idea?
Thank you for help!
