TTM57 assignable control maps emulating CD controls

Just like on Pioneers CDJ 1000MK3 and on a Denon S1000 or Denon S3500 CD deck the following buttons should emulate the above CD decks:
Here's how I would change it:

Change the set, tmp and Play button to only Play/Pause button and a real CUE button like on a Denon S1000 CD Deck.
That way when you press the Play/Pause button the song starts to
play, but when you press the Play/pause button again it pauses and marks a temp cue point and then to set it, you press the CUE button which makes it a tmp cue point and its stopped. Now when you hold down the CUE button it will play from the new tmp cue point you made and when you let go of the Cue button it stops and returns back at that tmp cue point. You can test it repeatedly. Now, just press the Play/pause button and it plays from the start of that tmp cue mark and the song continues playing. Just like when your using a CD deck in ABS mode with a Denon S1000 or a Pioneer CDJ1000MKIII. I hope this explains the concept better. Thanks.

I think this is the way it works already in internal mode. I don't think relative mode should work this way because I think relative mode should always play at the speed and direction of the control record.

I've tested it on my TTM 57SL, the internal mode does not have true CD DJ deck like CUE and PLAY functions.

OK, I see the difference now.

Basically you are wanting to combine the set and tmp buttons. I don't see a need for this. I've always found the way a CDJ works to be very confusing and counter intuitive.

To me the way SSL works with seperate button for setting the cue point is much more sensible. With the CDJ I always found myself pressing cue when the track was paused which looses your original cue point and sets it to the current location. Seperating out the two functions makes it easy.

With the CDJ it isn't possible to set the cue point whilst the track is playing, you have to first stop the track then press cue.

Some of use are old school and like the way Pioneer CDJs and Denon CD decks work with just two buttons, a CUE and a PLAY button. So, I hope SSL will allow the option to offer the two styles.
