LIVE VIDEO FEED issues

i'm using a quartz file to take a dv feed from my camera. the quartz file works great when i load it into a deck and leave it alone... but as soon as i start loading more instances of the quartz file, serato starts to get bogged down and VSL jumps up to 70-90% when it's noramlly 30-40%. i start droping frames and have a 20fps output untill the videos just stops altogether. i can't get back to normal until i close and restart SSL & VSL.
i've tryed ejecteding the qtz feed before loading another track. i've tried only using mp3s, only mp4s. no go.
the thing is if i load the quartz file and leave it (don't load anything else) it will stream the feed for hours with no problems...the more times i load the qtz file, the more bogged down thin gs get. seems it's a VSL issue.
Nathan, is this something that can be fixed in future updates?
thanks

this is a feature that a LOT of people would like to get working. however, i think the best approach is not via Quartz. i'd like to see serato work this feature into the product core and build in a live camera feed that can be added to and removed from a deck on the fly.

That way PC users could have the option as well. I love my Mac, but keeping everything in the same program keeps things simple.

as long as i can apply all the effects to the feed and it works with the transitions i'm good. that's what makes the LIVE feed that i have dope. not a big fan of PIP.

edirol v4. the best thing ive used for live feed. pricy. but worth it. i get worried when using my laptop for camera and serato work. so much stress on the laptop and even more stress on the dj because you never know if it fails or flys

Yeah but you can't add serato effects and transitions to the feed. And I don't do composite. Atleast VGA. ME can do what i want with the Feed and my quartz file. And record. Damn.

I don't think you can mix between two vga imputs though. It's a a/b switch that overlays the other two channels I believe.
