I am testing video-sl demo version and as soon as I start the plugin, my cpu jumps up to 75-84 percent utilization. Without the plugin, running just serato audio I run 0-6 percent. As soon as I load up a video (mp4), my cpu runs at 100 percent steady and the video is choppy. My laptop (gateway)-amd turion 64 2.2ghz is running Nvidia Go 6100 (256mb) and xp pro with 2gb memory. Also the same video plays fine with quicktime player. I tried an driver update from nvidia's website, but it was not compatible. Also, I have all my startup items disabled.

there are several discussions on this. Make sure u have the correct versions of SSL and VSL. Also u need to tweak your PC. There are several discussions on that too just do a search on this forumn.

sorry bro, but you might be ass out. you're using an amd chip. video-sl minimum specs is an intel 2 GHz Core 2 Duo or better and in nvidia 8400 and higher video card.

your chip and videocard is below minimum specs so don't expect to get any better performance than you're getting now.

also it is generally agreed that video-sl runs best on macs.

search for some of my posts, ive had good luck with a certain method. However like said by others, thats a fairly low end PC for VSL. CPU use is higher because the plugin must decode video to account for scratching, etc.
