Question about avalibilty

Dr Balcus 3:54 AM 1 June 2006
Just out of curiousity I was woundering if any of the Moderators or employess knew what the chance of a special order TTM-57SL to a guitar center in Chicago is. I bought a 56 based on the fact that they told me they would special order me a 57SL they figured it would take a week or so. I just thought I would ask anyone had any ideas about that
Thanks Alot

That is the million dollar question Dr. That mixer is simply just NOT easily available due to the demand. There are many people who pre-ordered as far back and January and paid and have not received yet. Call around and get a feel for waiting times. I dont beleive there's such a thing as special order on this one.
Good luck.

Rane won't be able to ship new orders for TTM 57SL mixers received today for a while since we're busy building as many as we can get the parts for. Welcome to supply & demand. Orders received today ship in September. This is likely to improve however since we've got more and more parts coming all the time, but we don't know today, by how much it will improve. So we're playing it safe and quoting worst case ship dates.

Does ANYONE know where I can get a 57 for a reasonable price? (less than 1400) I feel like I've waited forever, and I'm starting to go crazy. I need this mixer now. I ordered through Northern Sound & Lights, and while the price was right, they dropped the ball on the 57 and me big time. I told them about the 57 back when I first heard of it coming out. Manager said he would look into it, never called back. When I placed my order months later, the 57 was listed on the NSL site, and upon placing the order was told "We may have it in stock now or very shortly". It was an order taken too quickly because later in the week they called back to tell me that "only people who pre-ordered back in January will get the first-run. You'll get it in JULY." ...and they went ahead and charged my credit card, even though apparently everyone else was able to pre-order with no money down! (I could have done tha back in January too!)

Anyway, sorry for the rant, but I am PISSED and just had to let it out somewhere. The people at NSL may cancel my order if they read this thread, but I don't care. They acted like they are doing me some favor, when I went out of my way to order from them again. (I ordered my first 56 through them) Well screw that.

Sorry to hear that jizzer. I was pissed too. NSL are usually good to me but this time they dropped the ball. I cancelled my order with them too and placed one elsewhere last month just in the nick of time to get mine today. I think I just hit the cutoff end on the 2nd batch.

Should you find one, it will not be under $1400 ... even $1500. I posted in an earlier post about some asswipe vendor. You are just gonna have to wait this one out. I am sure Rane are doing their best. Check your PM.

damn, i was gonna buy fron nsl but now i have second thoughts based on this. s42000, what do you recommend? i buy most my stuff from them and have directed several thousand dollars of business their way, but now i'm torn. i'd love to buy one now, but don't want to pay an exorbanent price for it. if i'm going to have to wait, then i'm wondering if it makes sense to wait with them. any input is much appreciated.

NSL are still good folks. They are just a little bit behind the times. By not getting into the 57 game early they have let their customers down. I'd recommend AGI all the way, I think they will get their 3rd/4th or 5th batches before NSL even gets their 1st one. I doubt you will get one easily even for an inflated price.
All dealers now are talking about September !!

This seems to be the most awaited thing since the birth of christ.

thank you sir! i still like nsl, but i've grown impatient. and in fairness to nsl, i don't believe they keep any dj mixers in stock (usually drop ship from the manufacturer). lower overhead = lower prices.
