Mac DVR software to record videos

Hello. Does anyone know of any mac dvr software. I have a G5 tower I use to watch movies on my tv and also have an firewire cable from my cable box to it. Im looking to dvr tv and record videos.

If he's recording just for samples to scratch with I guess that kind of makes it OK, doesn't int.
