There is a bug in Scratch Live 1.9.0 (build number 19035) that effects your ability to unlock locked Whitelabel.net mp3 files (files with the ".wl.mp3" file extension).

When Scratch Live firsts detects the presence of a locked ".wl.mp3" file you are presented with an email and password box along with an "Unlock" button. Entering your email address and password then clicking the "Unlock" should unlock the locked file.

The bug:
After entering your email address and password clicking the "Unlock" button has no effect

The workaround:
Enter your email address and password but, rather than clicking the "Unlock" button, make sure the cursor is placed in the password field and click the 'Enter/Return' key.

UPDATE:
This bug has been fixed in Scratch Live 1.9.1. Scratch Live 1.9.1 is a free upgrade for all Scratch Live users and is available here serato.com and here scratchlive.net

I had this error and did the instructions above butt now I get "Your email address is incorrect." I tried several times making sure it's the correct account and just logged in here with the same credentials so I know the address is correct.

Any sugestions?

If you're getting a "Your email address is incorrect" message then you have an issue unrelated to the one described above.

I suggest that you make a Help request and have the support team step through the unlocking process.

Dollar - plug in your Rane hardware and they play at high quality 320k.

If you have any locked tracks in your Scratch Live library you will automatically see an email address and password box appear above your track list. If you enter the same email address and password as you use here on the whitelabel.net website the tracks will unlock.

I'm getting the same thing as cooquist. It's saying the "Your email address is incorrect". I'm obviously currently logged in here with the same address & password.

Any ideas?

First of all I would try downloading the track again and replacing the file.

If that doesn't work then your problem is more likely to be related to Scratch Live rather than the Whitelabel files themselves and I suggest you start a Scratch Live Help Request so that the Rane and Serato support teams can help you.

I have Scratch Live 1.9.1. I have a similar issue with unlocking files. The usual message is that 48 files were successfully unlocked then all is good, sometimes though it says 47 files successfully unlocked and sometimes only 1 file successfully unlocked. Why the difference?

My files just dont register with serato period.. they come up as .wl files and never play i dont even get an option to unlock... what am i doing wrong?

I Don't Why is so difficult to search for Artist name or Song title on white label,Search, Could i be doin something wrong?

I put my email and password in and hit the enter key and it still says incorrect email address. For the locked tracks that wont unlock, I have deleted them and redownloded and they still are locked. I am using 1.9.1 (19136). So what is the bug fix for that? Its not a major issue for me, but I would like to get it resolved...

The only one I can remember right now is Fabolous- Lullaby. Most of the other ones I deleted cause I doubt if they get any air play unless I do another mixx tape and need an instrumental for something.

Fabolous - "Lullaby" shouldn't be locked at all.

I just downloaded "Stay" and it was definitely not locked for me.

Make sure that you remove the track from your Scratch Live or ITCH library, then delete the file, then add the new file to your library.

I did that three times already. Still locked...

Another problem I am having is; if I take my hard drive to one of my hommies spots to dj, when I try to access my music files through their serato, all of my music is locked on their system. What is the cause of that?

That behavior is by design. You'll have to enter your email address and password on any Scratch Live system that is accessing your locked files.

If the owner of the computer has any locked files of their own, they'll need to restart Scratch Live and put in their email address and password to re-unlock their files.

I tried leaving the cursor in the box with the password and hitting the enter key and it does the same thing as clicking unlock, tells me that my email and password is incorrect.

As far as the help request, I am not to worried about my files being locked when i try to use them on another system. I have just about all the songs on my ipod. So I f I need to hook up to someone elses system I will just have to hook up my ipod and go from there... But it is a problem with the the software.
