TTM57SL MIDI Control an external device

I'm wondering if it's possible to control an external device with the TTM57SL. What I would like to do is buy a 57 to add to my DVJ setup and buy Serato Video Plug-in. SO when I'm using Serato the 57 controls my video and audio. But when I use my DVJs I want my fader to MIDI send my Edirol V4 to switch back and forth the video with the audio. I know the 57 had no MIDI out port but my question is does it send actual MIDI messages into the PC? If so I should be able to reroute that to a MIDI output and into my V4 correct? I'd love to add Serato Video to my setup and the 57 but I need to know I won't loose control of switching with my DVJs.

now i undesrtand what you're asking concerning the midi routing but you lost me at "I need to know I won't loose(lose, i assume) control of switching with my DVJs."
switching wat with your dvjs?
why don't you just use the dvjs to control vsl?
or are you wanting to play certain dvds that are not ripped or rendered for vsl yet?
you've got 4 inputs on the v4.
couldn't you do this?
send a vsl signal to it on one channel
send the dvj video signal to 2 other channels

Right that is what I want to do. But I want to be able to play some video of the DVJs and some off VSL using Control CD in DVJ. When I play Video from the DVJ I will use the crossfader withe the 57 to switch audio and the T bar on the V4 to switch video. But my questions is since the V4 accepts MIDI could I have the MIDI from the 57 control the V4 T bar so when using just the DVJs i would be able to cut Audio and video from the 57 fader.

Could anyone answet his question? Basically what I'm aking is does the TTM57SL send actual MIDI messages to the computer that can be used outside of Serato for say Ableton triggering, Another DJ program, or external output.

yea, what aj500 said.
the usb on the 57 controls more than just midi.
i don't know the actual lingo but there is audio and other what nots associated with it.
also you can't chain them together. for Ex, usb out of the 57 to the v4 to your comp.
you can still play video and audio off the dvjs it's just that you will have to use the edirol for the images.

I understand this. The TTM57 is only USB but I was reffering to the actual control signals sent to the program. If there was a way to route a command from the TTM57s to a MIDI output on the PC you could send it to the MIDI input on the V4 and have a very nice DVJ/Serato setup using the 57 to cut audio and video from both sources. For example I could do this with any off the shelf MIDI controller. I could control my V4 effects with a trigger finger or a M-Audio Keyboard. If there is no MIDI coming off the V4 there should still be the ability to code a program that would do what I'm describing. It looks like I will be hiring a programmer now.

the 57 does not emit midi. so even if you were able to write some drivers and software to try to utilize the 57 via usb it will not work.
it's a damn shame that the 57 is only 2 channels and no midi. most $1200+ mixers today have effects, 4ch, and midi out.
if all you use is a 57 you're good. but if you use serato, video-sl and other midi devices i would suggest you get an sl-1/sl-3 and pio djm-800 (or ecler evo 4).
i hope that rane's next 58 (or whatever its called) is 4ch, crazy effects and midi out (via usb and 8-pin).

the 57 does have effects...there just not quite as dumbed down and user friendly as most other effects mixers.

it also has four channels (but not four programs)
theres no reason for it to send midi (not what it was meant to do)
