What features would you like to see in Serato software?

I think it would be a good idea if serato could make it possible to see the main wave form on the screen of the xdj 1000. I was a little disappointed when I realised that there wasn't a way to do it (that I could find anyway). The only way you can is when they are being used with rekordbox but I prefer to use serato DJ to do my sets.

Definitely not. If the CDJ-2000Nexus does not have it the XDJ-1000 would not. Just keep in mind the CDJ-2000/XDJ-1000's are natively supported by Serato DJ, SSL (2000), Djay Pro, Mixvibes Cross, Traktor, etc. and not one of these applications offer the scrolling waveform feature besides Rekordbox. This would most likely be product exclusivity (Pioneer/Rekordbox) as opposed to an oversight.
