Wondering if you can help me, I work for a entertainment company and we are currently transitioning our tech in the DJ dep...

I want to send DJ's out with external HD's so they can access our library of music, I need to know the following

- will a read only ext HD work on MAC and PC?
- if it's read only will the DJ's be able to take songs out of the library?
- will DJ's have full functionality within Intro if songs are being read off ext HD?
- does the HD need to be usb 3.0? will 2.0 suffice?

Slightly broader questions;

- I want to be able to update these HD's all at once ( remotely ), our library is in the office, once the music has been updated on the computer, the DJ laptops can be updated, is it possible to plug these ext HD's in and get the same effect. Apologies I'm coming into the process halfway so it's hard to give you a full picture
