Serato Video Tutorial: Record Video Mixes with Syphon (Mac)

Hey yall, just posted a new tutorial that shows you how to record your video mixes from Serato Video using Syphon Recorder, free software on the Mac that gives you good stability and flexible options such as Video and Audio codecs and resolutions.

Great tutorial however there is a bug in the beta of Syphon recorder. I have a brand new Mid 2014 15" MBP and did a test video recording with SL3 and SDJ and for some reason when I play the recording back it doesn't record both audio channels full. One channel's side is louder than the other? I can confirm this because SDJ's built in video recording does not have this issue. Hopefully there will be a fix soon👍🏻

Nevermind...Weird not sure how this is happening but the video file from syphon recorder saves as .mov file and when it's played back in sdj and scratchlive only 1 channel is recorded. However resaving the file as a mp4 both channels play fine? How is this possible....Oddest thing I've ever seen.
