So, I've been using SSL for.. well, FOREVER. Now, my SL1 won't be supported next year, I'm thinking of making the jump to DJ (esp. since it's a free switch over.) My question is:

Do I still need to buy a newer SL interface (eg: SL2, SL3, SL4) or will one of the recommended controllers bypass the need for the box?

I'm kinda confused here and don't want to buy shit I don't need if I decide to go this route.
