I know i should be contacting support but has actually gotten back to me and it's been a couple of days I have a macbook pro early 2011 2.0ghz i7 16gb the problem i'm having i can record for 23 seconds and it meaning serato video will stop on it's own is there possibily any suggestions

recording with serato video is useless it's too buggy. Try mix emergency or screenflow if you want recording. Unfortunately recording video on serato is a huge issue many users are having. Good luck

I've tried both ME & Syphon recorder now I have a issue with major static in the recording

damn then I have no idea. Might wanna try screenflow considering it is just screen capture software that records off the 2nd display. www.vimeo.com <-- all recorded with screenflow and on the same computer👌

Okay i will try that but between the softwares I've tried it seems no matter how I have the levels I keep getting static

What hardware? Is the static ONLY in your recordings or can you hear it out of your master out?

the hardware is a ddj-sr with a early 2011 macbook pro 16gb i7 2.0ghz if i record with serato video it stops recording 32secs in if I use syphon recorder or ME it records but I receive enormous statice throughout the recorder

I don't hear the static throughout the master but when I playback yes I do it no how I change the gains the master levels or what

It's basically a lot of distortion no matter how I set v the levels gains or master

You are probably putting a line signal into a mic inout. Change the setting to line level.

No I don't believe I have I've only used quarter inch into my studio monitors

This is what I meant. The new MacBooks have a combo in/out jack that can act a mic or line level input depending on the settings.
