Ive had my first MBP for 3 weeks and cant put it down. Try clicking on dashboard, click on the "manage widgets" box, and see all the cool widgets available. You can search for speciic ones such as beat counters etc. Even Beatport has a widget for dashboard.

I just learned something that you might want to know..I have about 400 gigs of music on my windows os desktop that includes music of all kinds. I dont want to keep it on my laptop and fill it up so I keep only my dance music on my laptop. I just bought a Lacie ext HD to keep all of my "other" music as a secondary music database. I tried transferring all the music from my Windows os desktp to the new Lacie Ext HD by plugging both hard drives into my MBP and dragging them over. I played a few of the songs that i dragged over and they opened up in Itunes as usual. After i finished, i unplugged both Ext HD's from my MBP but realised that not only were the song names in the itunes database, the songs were also on my internl hard drive. If you have this problem, the solution is this..
quit all of the programs including Itunes. While holding down the command button, click on Itunes. A window will open up asking if you want to create a new itunes library. If you create a new library, you can name it (i named mine LACIE)a new itunes library will open up that is empty and ready for importing. Now i just learned this and created a new library and its like having two separate itunes folders. Now, if i want to plug in my ext hd and use my other files, i open up itunes by holding the "command" button down while clicking on the itunes icon and it will ask me which hard drive/library i want to use. I dont know how it will show up in SSL, so if someone else has any words of wisdom , hopefully they will comment.

I agree...Mac is the way to go.A friend of mine got his first MBP and imported all of his Itunes music before realizing that Serato wont play his "AAC PROTECTED" files. I told him that he could burn them onto a disc, then re-import them into itunes. He was having a kanipshin fit because it would take him forever to check each file one by one to single out every protected file. I recently learned about "spotlight" which is the magnifying glass icon at the top right corner. He typed in "aac protected" inside of the spotlight icon , then all of his protected files appeared. He's a believer now too.
