A little TTM57 video from the Musikmesse

ssl-wiki.help.bootlegs.de <- click. A short video of the TTM57 and SSL 1.6 which I took at the end of the Musikmesse in Germany (thanks to Sam for taking the time after a long day!). The video itself is around 160MB large and runs aprx. 8 minutes, XViD format. Sorry for the quality, this was the first video I have done on my computer. (If anyone knows how to get rid of the strange horizontal lines or can tell me where they come from, I would appreciate it. My video technology knowledge is.. very limited)
If you got any questions, feel free to ask.
If anyone got some webspace left, I also have a 30min vid of Kid Fresh and Rafik (very nice set) and would like to upload it somewhere permanently (not on yousendit/megaupload etc). (Give it 30min to finish uploading)

Depends on the codec/compression used.

Thanks Konix.
Pretty fast I would say, at first I was like "whoa... thats complicated". After some hours I got everything, and I knew most of the important functions w/o looking at the screen. I would say, that comes with more functions, its quite obvious that it takes some time to know them all. The good thing is that all the knobs technically can be assigned as you wish. So any button, any knob can do anything, as you like. Technically. We will see how much freedom of choice you will have in the the final 1.6.

Mike, this codec used 150MB for 8min, so I assume it will be something around 500-600MB for 30min.

Nice video :)
I think you should be able to compress it further with xvid without too much loss of quality.

bush, the prob is that I have a shaky hand plus you have all the noise on the screen (from my cam?) and the horizontal lines, that will make reduction a bit more difficult I assume. With good quality DVD material (and non shaky vid shots) its easier to reduce them with less loss.

if only the April 17th myth was true... our 57s would be shipping out tom. *Sigh* I'm still having trouble accepting the fact that its more of a May 17th. I just hope they won't say that they're testing something else or decide to make the buttons red, or any other excuse come may. lol

I think you should be able to compress it further with xvid without too much loss of quality.
It's 25 MB now.

What up fellas! I am an old school dj - Technics 1200 - and was out the game for a few years but still have my equipment. I love everything I've been heaing on the 57. I want to get the TTM57SL but don't think I need the Serato Scratch Live also. Can someone clear this up for me...X-daVet

"djX-daVet" Serato Scratch Live "soundcard" is build in in TTM57SL. The TTM57SL comes with Control records 2 vinyl, 2 CD's.
So the only you need is a computer and your Technics 1200, and a pair of good pickups (I use Ortofon Concord Tigitrax, and also Stanton AL500II)

I just found this again, I got lost reading other threads. Thank alot djG. When I read the intems the mixer came with I did not see it included the control cd 7 vinyl. Now all I need ia a good laptop w/lots of memory. I was reading a post where a dj was trying to find one for under $1400. That is my next question. Sam Ash wants $1450, I have not seen it anywhere for less> Can U suggest?
