I'm on a 2008 15.4" 2.6 Penryn. Not perfect, but not far off!

Google says ...

"click on about this mac on the apple menu, then click where it says your OSX verison right under the text that says Mac OS X. When you click it, it will cycle through different things. The model number is one of them. "

i'm officially the newest member of the mac club.

i just got a mpb 15.4" 2.2 MA895LL/A off ebay.

MBPRo 2.6 ghz 4 gb ram, 200 gb hd running at 7200 rpm, and i don't know what video card but is working really well with Serato.

I am using the last of the old style 17"
so that is I guess the 2008 early edition lol

actually, mine doesn't show the model, only serial.

i'm just lucky i happen to have the box right next to me.
