Recording feature on TTM57

Read through the previous large 57 post but couldnt find much information on this.

Does anyone have more info on this and the soundcard built it?

I am torn between buying the 57 or another choice.

How does it record. Does it record directly back into your computer? What format? How long?

I am assuming here.. but the answers are pretty obvious:

I assume it will be an uncompressed format, probably aiff cause thats what the SSL is using right now. But wav would not make a difference either, as you can convert forth+back w/o quality loss. Specs say 16Bit/44.1kHz
