twitter is THE best social media outlet so far to me. No pictures, dumb blogs - whatever. Just people talking. It's cool because fans can connect to artists.
The thing I don't like is when people get on there and only respond to/ talk to their friends...kinda defeats the purpose. Text messg your homies if you wanna talk to them.

One of my record pools is on twitter now. They post updates when they upload music... probably one of the most useful ways I've seen anyone use this site (besides posting random BS).

^I get most of my news through Twitter/CNN now. I'm sure if anyone watches CNN as much as I do, but I'm beginning to think that they own Twitter...because they promote every one of their shows and anchors on there. And they're the only network that actually shows their @ replies on air...pretty good strategy.

I like reading all the DJs from the forum as they are rocking different crowds in various time zones. I just started using mine again. The Blackberry app makes it easy, although I still don't like twitter that much. Too many ads or tweets about stuff I just don't care about.

Set up some lists so you only see what you want.
You can set up lists for djs, friends, mc's, dirt bags, lurkers or whatevs'. It cuts out a lot crap.
