I am running Serato with an acer laptop (windows vista) and have connected a Western digital external drive (via usb) to accomodate the amount of music I want to bring out. The problem I am having is when I click on the arrow to view my subcrates, the screen freezes up and I *&^* my pants because I'm afraid my computer software is going to crash. So far the screen always comes back after waiting about 20 - 30 seconds.
Could this be a USB issue? or is it a vista issue, or maybe a serato issue. If I connect the drive via express card (e-sata) will it remedy the problem?

Update - I am now running the drive with firewire and am still having the same issue. I think it may be a serato issue; as it is waiting for information from the drive.
