I messed a bit with the cue points, and I found out that the markers will be colored always in the same sequence: Red, Yellow, Green...
no matter what cue point you use/push first on the VCI300.
Wouldn't it make more sense when these markers were matched with the color of the cue buttons?
Then you always know, on which songposition your cue buttons corresponds to...

Another suggestion,
The white marker is the Temp Cue point marker,
but it covers the colored cue marker if they are right on top of eahother.
Why not use the white songposition marker on top of the wavedisplay as the temp cue indicator, and change the songposition marker by a white vertical line over the wavedisplay.
That way the temp Cue will never cover a colored cue marker.
