Hi
I updated my DDJ-SX's firmware when the 1.7 version came out,but when i tested the mic channels it still distorts.
Anyone also experience this?

Hey DJ Herschel,
Thanks for getting in touch,
The firmware update will improve the Mic connection on the DDJ-SX.
You will still get distortion / noises if you use a microphone with a mismatched impedance level.
What kind of microphone are you using with your DDJ-SX?
Thanks.

Hey DJ Herschel,
Thanks for that information, I have seen users having issues with microphones that they have no problem plugging into any other mixer / any brand. Its unfortunate the DDJ-SX mic input does not suit such a wide range of Microphones, but you do have options.
This is the DDJ-SX Mic Gain and Impedance level.
–52 dBu/10 kW'
Options:
1. Use a Microphone with the same gain / impedance level and you should be fine.
2. Your other option is to purchase an attenuator which can lower / boost the impedance level for mismatched microphones. Here is an example: --> www.ebay.com
Is there anything else I can help you with?

or you can pick up a small live mixer {Mackie 402} run the microphone through the small mixer. More expandability.
