Serato Software Feature Suggestions

What features would you like to see in Serato software?

BPM display with 1 decimal Digit

Kmxorbit 9:39 PM - 19 October, 2008
I wish you could see the BPM displayed with 1 decimal in the virtual deck display.
(example: 128.2 instead of 128)

You can see the BPM of every song displayed to two decimal places by clicking on the BPM field in the library.
Kmxorbit 12:23 PM - 21 October, 2008
I mean, the actual BPM display with a decimal place (when moving the pitch slider)

Yeah, that´s a good idea. I would like to have decimals too
djdannyd 11:31 PM - 28 October, 2008
hmm...not sure if we need to be that [visual] precise, train your ears
Kmxorbit 2:46 PM - 2 November, 2008
Mine are trained enough, I don't need no lessons anymore.
but it would make it possible to start more precise wich will free up more time to concetrate on loops, and fx instead of adjusting tracks.

what do u do when the song is 70 and the software shows 140?
Milesy303 1:52 PM - 6 November, 2008
Automatic counters are rubbish. Computer AI is just not intelligent enough compared to the human visual cortex.
Illuminatty 6:04 PM - 6 November, 2008
I would love to be able to see the extra value. I have many tracks that are 130.1 or 130.01 for example. It would make mixing alot easier.

i do think decimals would be good, and also instead of tap tempo to be able to set a one bar loop and then the bpm is calculated from that. that way you can get it EXACT on the dot with the smoothest loops. tap tempo is just too inaccurate and the serato one doesn't seem to be averaging it out that much (after four bars you would expect to see zero fluctuation, i would have thought, but it still changes). just an idea.

+2 decimals, like Traktor.. it helps speeding beatmatch, more time on the cool things to do..

I'm seriously missing this after moving to Serato from Traktor (that and previewing tracks from the browser!!).
serkan 6:54 PM - 14 April, 2009
-1 since I don't need it. I just have to look at the normal (unpitched) BPM of a track and the BPM of the song currently playing and I match 'em in a couple of seconds. With decimal digits displayed I would get some trouble because I'm the type of guy who starts to trust the display more than my ears, and thats just wrong ;)
I think the beat-match-display (which is the best ever made on DJ-software) is so much more better than any (automaticly generated) numbers and I know tons of DJs who don't event want that :)

+1 if anything make it an option for people who want it or dont want it.
