I dont know if this subject is taboo around here or whatever...
(I didnt see anything in the rule book)

butt... I was just wondering what people thought about all these guys who go around using the name of a better known DJ in their area?

I remember back in the day that was a major violation - people got hurt over that kind of thing. I guess now a day its pretty much anything goes.

Anyone remember when we had some rules, some ethics, some self respect?

Pretty sure self respect disappeared a while back.

You have to remember a while back when everybody was posting links to people that were using the name 'DJ AM' - along with his logos, and on occasion- AMs actual mixes.

I think is quite lame to be taking someone else's name especially if you know there's someone using that name already. I don't care if you didn't know at the beginning, but you find out later on and it's obvious you're biting the name, then yeah.

Yeah, if you are a 17 year old kid, obviously without any guidance (with tramp stamp tat or whatever) you probably have not a single clue what's going on.

It's quite a bit different if you are a 20 year vet. Even if you stole the name as a young pup 20 years ago - by now you should have manned up and picked a proper unused name instead of ridding the originators name into the dirt.
