Serato DJ installed in desktop mode, updated the Reloop terminal 4 firmware.

When no device is connected I can open the program and play tracks, however when I try analyse tracks I get the "serato dj has stopped working" message and the program closes.

When the device is connected, as soon as the iTunes library is loaded the "serato dj has stopped working" message comes up

When I deactivate the iTunes library, I am then able to utilize the program without any issues, however I want to be able to access my iTunes library and playlists that I have spent hours, days and months compiling.

Please help

Hi DJ Swaiy,

Thanks for get in touch with us. How many iTunes playlist do you have? We having crash issue caused by large crates and iTunes libraries on Serato DJ 1.2. However, currently we do not support Windows 8 for Serato software unfortunately. So it might be your operation system causing this issue. Try previous version of Serato DJ if you hava a chance. Here is the link for Serato DJ download archive - serato.com

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards

Thanks Rui,

I've started transferring my playlists into crates so for now I am happy to utilize Serato DJ without using my iTunes Library.

My library has 30,000 songs, all stored on an external hard drive. Since deactivating the itunes library i have only had one instance where the program has stopped working (without the controller connected).

I will hold off on installing the previous version of Serato DJ, unless i have more issues where "Serato DJ has stopped working".

I have my next gig in 2 weeks so hopefully i will not have any issues otherwise i would probably feel more comfortable using DJ intro for the gig.

Cheers

Hi DJ Swaiy,

I'm happy to hear you solved the problem. I would recommend you to keep your crate amount low just in case. If you want to try previous version of Serato DJ you just rename your Serato DJ application to "Serato DJ 1.2" then install previous one. In this way you can keep both version of Serato DJ in your computer.

Im going to close this thread now, however if you have any more questions please don't hesitate to reopen this thread. :)

Kind Regards
