I have been having trouble when recording mixes. The recording and mixing goes very smoothly, but when I play the recordings, there are a large number of points where for a split second, the sound gets very loud and clips. I'm not completely sure if it's a problem with my computer, my controller, or Serato, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Trancend,

Thanks for get in touch with us. Firstly would you be able to give us your computer specifications? Including your internal or external HDD information (Size, free space, amount of partition, music files location, _Serato_ folder location) would be great.

Do you use recording function on ITCH or do you use any other software? If you do use ITCH for recording, would you please tell us location of your recording files?

Kind Regards
Rui

Hello Rui,

I believe that it's a 1TB SATA Disk Hard Drive and it has about 950GB still free. I don't think I have it partitioned; I don't run bootcamp or anything else that partitions space on my HardDrive. I also have 16GB of RAM. All of my music files are in a folder on my computer called "Music".
I use the recording function on Itch, and it sends my recordings into a folder specifically for recordings inside the _Serato_ folder under my Music folder.

Sorry, I'm not very familiar with many more technical aspects when it comes to computers! I hope I gave enough information.

Thank you for your help!

How to find your computer specs: serato.com

Let's firstly try to do computer optimisation. Follow this instruction: serato.com

And also I would suggest you to go setup screen and adjust USB buffer size higher.

Try record with this setups and let me know how it go. :)

Okay, I changed the display settings and screen saver settings, and that seemed to have fixed it! Thank you so much for all of your help! I greatly appreciate it!
