What you need and what you should have are 2 different things. Serato Video can work on PC but it is highly HIGHLY recommended by the community that you go mac. If you make the right choice and go mac you need a 15" MacBook Pro. The reason it need to be a 15" is because it contains a dedicated video card. The intel HD4000 card you see in many computers will NOT work in the PC environment however id does work in the Mac environment though it is not recommended. 13" MBP's have intelHD4000 along with all MacBook Airs. Mac Book airs wont cut it either, not enough power. I think the Retina MBP's are a waste of money currently (future models might change the opinion).

If you are buying today get this one store.apple.com and pay for this $200 upgrade "2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB GDDR5 memory"

The jump from 512mb of video ram to 1gb is well worth it and also highly suggested by the community.

If you're gonna get a Mac just go big and get a mid 2014 MacBook Pro from best buy that's what I have. 16 gigs of ram thing is a beast👌🏻
