Advanced list sorting!
I am a hiphop/mobile DJ and I will use SSL with a lot of instrumentals, acapellas, remixes and different versions of the same song.
I need it so that when i sort the song list by BPM, I want SSL to then sort the list by Artist -> title -> genre -> etc... or better yet, make sorting priority a customizable option!
check out the link below to see an example of a list sorted by BPM, then it's random! Look at the two songs, named nearly identical and it's apart from each other. They should be right next to each other.

I also agree with this. More to the point:
SL should behave like many databases do, so that it "remembers" the sequence of Sort criteria as a list of Sort priorities. So, for example, if I sorted a crate by Artist, then sorted it by BPM, and then finally by Genre, SL would display the songs broken down by Genre, then within each Genre grouping songs would be broken down by BPM, and within each BPM subdivision songs would be broken down by artist.
But there should still always be (and I think there already is?) a way of returning a crate to an 'original' user-defined order of songs, in the event that you want to use a crate as a kind of mini-set playlist.

What are the employees of Rane going to be able to do about that? They handle the hardware and distribution side of things... Serato controls the software.

We are watching - and in fact this has been on the to-do list for a while!
FYI, if you sort by BPM, tracks with the same BPM are sorted by Artist, then Album.

Just wanted to bump this suggestion. Would be great to be able to sort on more than one column. I think I would end up using this rather than the sub-crates suggestion, to do subgrouping.

Hey sam, just wondering...im using both the 1.9.2 and 2.0 (beta) and in 1.9, it sorts it by Bpm then artist..but in 2.0, it sorts it by BPM then song... is there a way to change it back to the way it was in 1.9?

Cosign! I noticed that last night and it was making me search for a bit longer. Not the end of the world but it felt a bit wonky after having it the other way the past 5 years
