Recording a mix without being hooked up to a PA

A friend of mine asked me to record a 5 song mix for a thing she is doing with her students.
Is it possible to do this without being connected to a PA system? I don't have access to one right now, I can only connect to my controller (Vestax Vci-300) with my headphones.

But I can only hear the song that is being cued. How can I hear the output of both decks?

oh, i think i just figured that out. turn the master/cue balance, knob so I can hear both, right? duh!
