I'm using a VCI-380 and Serato SL3, this problem is related to using both of those devices with one laptop.
The general problem is that when i try to use my SL3 database with Serato DJ, it crashes. The same thing happened with Itch. I've researched the problem pretty extensively, and realize that it's a known issue when the database + crates are large.
Ideally, I'd like to get it to work w/o changing much, but I realize that is probably not coming any time soon.
So the next question is: Is there a way to allow SL3 and Serato DJ to use *separate* databases while living on the same machine. Ideally, this would be a path setting in these apps that could be changed. But I can't find such a thing.
I'm aware of the hack where you can rename the _Serato_ folder and move copies around to maintain separate databases. I'd rather not have to do that.
Is there anything that I'm missing that will let me do this? Or could this be a feature request for a future version? I think having the option to specify different DB locations would be a big benefit for some users, especially with the fact that the system crashes when using the DB it's expecting to use.
thanks!

Hey Cu7ups,
Thanks for getting in touch,
Unfortunately at this stage your only solution if you want to run two separate libraries is to rename the _SERATO_ folder.
Being able to turn _SERATO_ folders on/off or being able to load from a specific location could be beneficial for some users out there. I agree.
I advise you start a "feature request" forum thread. If enough people support your idea (I personally think its a good one!) then it may be something we look at implementing.
-- Thats all the information I have.
If you have any other questions please feel free to ask :)
Thanks.
