Dilema: Trade my NS6 for an NS7

Considering trading my NS6 for an NS7.
I used to have an NS7 and eventually sold it because I was doing mostly club gigs, and the few that I did were small and I could take a VCI-300. I ended up with an NS6 because I found some guy selling it new with Numark bag for 400.00. Turns out, I kinda like the thing.
I'm venturing out to more mobile gigs and miss the platters and size of the NS7. Things I am considering:
NS7
- NS7 "looks" more professional, I think also has a better soundcard, and really enjoy the platters and size of it
- Don't like - the rubber buttons waste, it's f'in heavy, mic isn't working with SDJ, not a real mixer
NS6
- Much more portable, better tactile feel with buttons and knobs, four channel and real mixer give me some flexibility of laptop freezes, works well with SDJ (for me)
- Doesn't look as "pro"; don't enjoy the release on the platters or "free floating" no resistance to them, but really the main one is the NS7 looks more professional to the average person
also not considering an NS7 II. Before spending that much cash, I'd just keep the NS6....not into the new pads/slicer stuff.

I love my NS7 too. But the weight is getting to me. I don't travel with it and rarely take it out on a mobile gig anymore but when I do, it always put a big smile on my face.If weight is not an issue to you, then I would recommend to get the NS7. It will become a classic controller just as is with the T's are now.
Personally, the NS7 has tank build quality and looks very professional indeed. Mic issue will soon be fixed with SDJ update. Rubber buttons are minor things in my opinion. If professional look and spinning platters mean the most to you, then I'd get the NS7.

If you want a real mixer, just get a couple of V7's and a stand alone mixer. Lighter to carry too if weight is a problem.

V7 will be a monster imo once they become Serato DJ controller. You'd be able to get any MIDI mixer and map it to your liking.

Exactly how heavy is an NS7....like, what would you compare it to?
The reason I ask, is because I am an owner of an NS6 now, and when it comes out, am considering the NS7II.
If I were you, I would just keep your NS6. Even if I do end up w' an NS7II, to me, the NS6 is great and I'll be keeping it regardless. I don't know why so many people do not like it....I've tried several of the other ITCH controllers, and still like the NS6 the most. Admittedly, I haven't tied the DDJ-SX though.

I think with the case the NS7 is around 80 pounds ---- it's not a light lift. I like the NS6, just not "in love" with it, I've learned to like it for what it is, mostly for it's build quality and size (not too big and not to small). Platters are probably what I like least, the NS7 and even the VCI-300 are far superior.
I'll probably just end up keeping it. While I like the "Wow" factor of the NS7, I think for what I need the NS6 is more than sufficient. I just enjoy playing on the NS7 more. Thanks for the input fellas.
