I am playing on the mc 2000 through the Mac but unable to record my music. I want to record those and market my stuff so that I can get more shows to play. I would like to request you to find me a solution to this issue.

You need to hit the "REC" button on the upper left part of the screen and that will bring up the record panel in the middle of the screen between the browser and the virtual decks. Or when you say you are "unable to record my music" do you mean that you know how to use the record function but it's not working for you?

Well I did check my console. The thing is there is no option of "rec" on the upper left as suggested

I didn't know what he meant at first when he said "can't open the file", but I think he meant he couldn't open the screen shot file you attached.

maybe got confused between "Serato DJ" vs. "Serato DJ Intro"
"Serato DJ Intro" is a free software from Serato and the "REC" option or button there is not avaliable in this version of the software.
"Serato DJ" it is a licensed software, so you got more options and features such as the "REC" buttom in the software. You can record the complete DJ set just doing one click!

Ahh yes, that makes sense... he's using INTRO, hence the lack of the record feature. Thanks for figuring that out.
