Serato Software Feature Suggestions

What features would you like to see in Serato software?

Un-do delete (remove) track from Library.

Command - Ctrl - Z

The situation:

Whilst trying to delete some histories I remember to turn off protect library. I go into the settings, turn off protect and go back to the main menu. I don't realise at this point the selection has reverted back to a track in the "all" window, not my history. I delete.

Since I have zero idea what track that was, and it was only a delete from library (not computer, thus wont be in recycle bin) I have NO idea of finding that track again without importing my whole music folder again, which would also bring back in a load of tracks I have purposely deleted.

I also have no idea what crate, mix tracklist or month that track came from. It is essentially lost to me, even tho I still own it.

Would it be possible to include an un-do delete feature?

it would even be fantastic for crates. The amount of times I've accidentally nuked a crate and had to recover it from the Trash is, well, silly.

Infact the more I think about it the more I find it silly there isn't and undo option already.

Cheers!

Curious. Actually a cool idea and without deleting from your computer (which in this case would have been a better accident for you LOL) I also do not see an easy way to get it back. The only thing I am thinking is maybe there is no easy way to implement this. I actually hope this is the case as its got me wondering why they would not have it already.

Maybe even taking away the ability of just deleting from library? So now (in the future) when you delete a track, the only way to do so results with it in the trash/recycle Bin, so accidental deletes can be reversed easily.

I hope that makes sense to you guys

It does but you have to remember that just because you don't want it in Scratch Live does not necessarily mean you don't want it on your hard drive for something else.

True indeed, I guess it's because I keep my albums/anything other than DJ music on an external, and only DJ music on the internal

Yeah I hear ya. I keep my core library on my internal but the requests & mainstream music all on external.
